Careers Information, Advice and Guidance

At Derby Cathedral School we aim to equip our students with the necessary skills to follow the career path of their choice. It is our intention to expose our students to a wide variety of career pathways, some of which will include aspiring to Russell Group universities. In addition, we will help students to explore apprenticeships, traineeships and professional courses of their choosing.

We are working towards fulfilling all eight Gatsby Benchmarks in order to provide our students with the best, unbiased guidance and information in order to make informed choices for their future study, training and employment:

The eight Gatsby benchmarks of Good Career Guidance

1. A stable careers programme

3. Addressing the needs of each pupil
4. Linking curriculum learning to careers

Further details of these can be found on the Gatsby website
